{Garbage disposal care}

Garbage disposals can get sluggish due to grease build up and dull blades. Once a week or so toss in 3 or 4 ice cubes and grind for 30 seconds. This sharpens the blades and helps to dislodge grease and stuck-on food. Also, any time I use a lemon, I cut a couple of small slices and toss in the disposal, as well. The lemon scent is a great deodorizer. You can also freeze white vinegar into cubes and toss those in. The acid will kill the odor-causing bacteria. That one could also make a funny April Fools Day joke!
