{Scented Beeswax Ornaments}
These charming ornaments look especially good on an old-fashioned country tree. Their scent adds to the fragrance of the holidays. They can also be used to decorate packages for special friends.
1 pound beeswax
2 tablespoons scented oil of your choice
Wicking or string
Candy molds in Christmas shapes
Place the beeswax in an old coffee can and set it in a pan of water. Place pan on stove over low heat. While the wax is melting, oil the molds lightly with vegetable oil and set aside in a warm place. Cut the wick or string in pieces long enough to form a loop at the top of the ornament for hanging. Dip the ends of the wick in the melted wax and set on waxed paper, pushing the ends together to form a loop. When the wax has melted, stir in the oil and pour the wax into the molds using a funnel. Insert the waxed ends of the loop at the top of each mold. Allow to set. Gently turn the ornaments out when they have hardened.
