{Fun times with the Mermaids!}

The Mermaids do love to get out and about in our community. Last week we attended one of our favorite events, the spring Funky Junk Antique show (see our pictures from the day). Our outings to businesses we support are regularly featured on our Facebook page. Please visit us often. You will find that our page is a goldmine of information about new and upcoming businesses, loads of tips, fun and sassy pictures, thoughtful quotes, and much, much more!

Shelley Hepler and Debbie Nania

We hope it is possible for you to join us in some of the upcoming events we share here. Any time the Mermaids of the Lake can celebrate the success of our friends and supporters, we want to share it with you!

The Mermaids meet Nosey Parker

Nosey Parker is a sleuth! She is always on the hunt for the best local shopping and services for women. Once a quarter, Nosey hosts an event to give the community an opportunity to meet member businesses in a fabulous setting. Basically, it' a meet and greet so you can learn more about the business owners and why they love what they do. This quarter, the Mermaids of the Lake have been invited as guests. How fun for us! And, you all are invited. Please check their Facebook page for event details. We do know that the menu is going to be a real treat! Chef Angie from Fabulous Flavors Personal Chef Service has a real spread planned. It should be a really great time.

"Transition" to a Motorcycle

Transition's Gate wants you to think motorcycle. And, not just any motorcycle, a 2009 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. This cobalt blue beauty is in spectacular condition with only 3200 miles. By bidding to own this Classic, you will help Transition's Gate combat domestic violence, slavery, human trafficking, and other crimes against women and children trapped in the cycle of abuse.

The Mermaids are pleased to be a sponsor of this worthy and fun event! Please go to Transition's Gate website for bidding information.

Safe At Home Fundraiser

The Mermaids are pleased to be one of the sponsors of Transition's Gate, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance and special funding to entities which assist women and children, both domestic and foreign.

We are looking forward to their upcoming dessert and concert event, Safe at Home. They will be hosting Susie McEntire (yes, she's Reba's siser), country western legend entertainer, on April 28th, 2011, from 6pm to 9pm at the Doubletree Hotel Spokane City Center Grand Ballroom, Spokane, Washington. Please see the website, transitionsgate.org, for details.
